Dear Dance Friends,
Since 1980, Fiddle & Bow Country Dancers has been organizing dances and our annual Feet Retreat weekend. It is our mission to keep contra-dance alive in the Triad with hot bands and skilled callers. A dance is so much more than providing a band and a caller and total yearly expenses still exceed total income. However, our efforts so far have allowed us to cut our fund-raising goal by a $1000 this year. Our end of year fund-raising goal is $4,000 by December 31st.
We have restructured our dance schedule, implemented a membership drive and we have held free events to reach out to new dancers and dancers who have been with us in the past. This year our objectives are 1) to move the dance back into Winston-Salem 2) to make the dance more accessible to college students in town and others so we can grow our local attendance and 3) to grow our volunteer base. We have taken some steps in this direction and
this year we look to take a leap!
Your support will continue a tradition of music and dance in the Triad.
Help us reach our goal by sending a contribution in any amount by check, made out to “Fiddle & Bow Country Dancers” to the address above, at any of the dances or via PayPal.
Fiddle & Bow Country Dancers is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit so your contributions may be tax deductible.
Your support has and continues to make a difference in sustaining and strengthening our dance community as we continue to change.
Thank you! See you on the dance floor!
