Special Holiday Dance – Greensboro – The Ones Improper
Saturday, December 16 @ 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Our Annual Fund-raiser is ongoing through December!
Remember to bring some holiday goodies or healthy snacks to share!
On December 16, Saturday at the Grange we will deck the hall with boughs of holly (or other special things including lights) because it is our Special Holiday Dance! Bring some treats and other good things to share including your smile to lift up everyone with holiday cheer. Celebrate the season with us!
The Ones Improper will be doing some seasonal music along with their repertoire of Celtic, traditional, English and modern tunes as well as a few themes relating to a certain movie release that happens the day before the dance with initials S.W.!
The Ones Improper, made up of musical artists from many backgrounds including recording, touring, musical theater, worship, jazz band and others, has been playing at contra dances, English country dances, banquets, and farmer’s market and other events together for several years now. You’ll hear penny whistle, sax, flute, fiddle, dulcimers, bodhran, guitars, banjo and mandolin during the evening!
Our caller, Jack Mitchell, comes from the Triangle and is well known wherever there are contra dancing halls throughout the eastern U.S. He ensures that dancers understand each dance before the music begins and will get us back on track when we forget or do silly things on the dance floor! 🙂
Lots of good parking at the Grange is now available!
