Contra Dance Salem College – George Paul and David Digiuseppe – Caller Nick Boulet

We are privileged to have two musicians extraordinaire – David DiGiuseppe and George Paul! When these two guys get together there is real magic in the music as they weave together an intricate tapestry of rhythms, textures and tones. Their original tunes as well as the swing and jazz improvisations they do with traditional tunes will energize and thrill you throughout the evening!

This night our own Nick Boulet calls dances for the new dancer as well as for the more experienced ones. His relaxed, fun way of calling is infectious making the evening very fun.

Contra Dance Salem College – Roger Gold and Gretchen Caverly – Caller George Segebade

We have a real treat when dynamic fiddle player Gretchen Caverly collaborates with Roger Gold in an intricate weaving of melody and harmony while local caller George Segebade fosters an evening of fun, fellowship and frivolity for our feet and friends!
Masterful guitarist, Roger Gold, of the bands, Elftones, Steamshovel and Land of Sky injects amazing intricacy and energy into the bass, melody and chords of the many styles of music in which he is fluent.
We have enjoyed listening and dancing to Gretchen Caverly playing with Tune Riders and The Stuff.

Our caller will be no other than George Segebade who always has lots of fun dances for us.

Contra Dance Greensboro Grange Hushpuppies/Caller Jack Mitchell

Though they have a lot of fun with it, The Hushpuppies are very serious about their music and for each of them collecting, playing and singing old-time music occupies much of their time and energy. All four play several instruments well and all four are unaffected, natural singers.

What truly sets the Hushpuppies apart and makes them an outstanding revival old-time band is that they have integrated all sources of music and folded it all into a natural style of their own.

Jack Mitchell is a favorite experienced out of town caller who calls at many dances in state and out.
