The fun is beginning soon as 185 people converge on Camp Millstone to participate in one of the year’s best loved and thrilling dance retreat weekends!
Its FEET RETREAT!! September 15-17, our 36th year! Please support the continuation of Feet Retreat and Fiddle & Bow Country Dancers by registering and coming to enjoy this extraordinary dance and workshop filled event! You may Register at the gate or door.
Full plans with meals are no longer available now that meal plans are locked in, but cabin and camping spaces are available!
Eager dancers from around the country have already reserved their place by registering for this premium event but we welcome more to join us. For the price of a hotel that Florida evacuees might pay, you get lodging, exceptional food, fascinating workshops and activities, multiple dances, music by exceptional bands and leisure time for boating and hiking in a naturalistic setting! Tell your friends you are going and you look forward to seeing them there!
No Irma here, not that a little hurricane would ever dampen the spirits of a dedicated dancer anyway! We can just expect the usual weather for the event and it is looking good!
Full Weekend Schedule
for those who can only come for part of the weekend activities and want to choose which ones to attend, here is the full schedule for the 3 days of Feet Retreat:
Walk-ins for individual dances or workshops will be welcome and you may register in person for partial plans. (without meals)

BTW, regrettably the tee shirt option had to be canceled this year. We are sorry. (You will be refunded at FEET RETREAT if you ordered)
However the button team, Mark and Cassidy, will be there to make your FREE button as a memento of all the fun you’re going to have at the weekend!
Our professional Chef, Jay Christmas from Durham NC, returns as master Chef for the weekend. He and his team created amazingly good food to feast on over the weekend last year preparing a delicious menu, again with a vegetarian option (check omnivore or vegetarian on the registration form)
Our sound man this year is Jaime Platt of Dancing Planet Productions, one who provides sound for many of the major dance weekends.
The band members are some of the finest, playing in many of the major dance weekends and in some of the best popular contra dance bands around! It is impossible to imagine the music this caliber of collaborating musicians will make!

Camp Millstone is a well-maintained 4-H Camp in the Sandhills region of North Carolina, near the town of Ellerbe, between Pinehurst and Rockingham. It is ideal for a high-energy dance weekend, situated on 320 acres with 14 spacious cabins and lots of room for tent campers. Much of the camp property is wooded, deciduous and long-leaf pine, with a picturesque lake right in the middle. There is a quite large dining hall adjoining a professional kitchen, perfect for community meals. As many of you recall, we happily danced at Camp Sertoma near Winston-Salem for many years, but the state closed that camp in 2013 so we have relocated to Millstone, a top notch facility run by the same director who ran Sertoma for many years. We are very excited to have the opportunity to dance in this excellent facility, and we think you will share our excitement.
in the lovely Sandhills region of North Carolina.
Come out and enjoy it with us, you’ll be glad you did!
